stress

One of the five factors that cause stress, is sugar. So after the lecture on stress that she attended, my wife banned all sugar from our menu and introduced stevia, a naturally sourced great tasting sweetener. Stevia is said to be twenty times sweeter than sugar, but, unlike sugar, stevia is totally harmless.

Ursula's first attempt to make something great tasting and sweet with stevia, was a rice pudding. Of course a rice pudding of hulled rice, cooked in a pan with goat's milk and biologic butter. And then she added the four drips of stevia. Ursula's face was quite open about the taste of the rice pudding: it was horrid. And not because of the hulled rice, the butter and the goat's milk.

Her second attempt is the apple cake, that is in the oven right now. The recipe mentioned the amount of sugar (in kg's), so she put the adviced weight on the kitchen scales, and then she put the sugar back into the bag again with a tea spoon, to find out how many spoons this amount of sugar stands for. Every spoon is two drips of stevia, that is why. Reducing the level of stress is labour-intensive.
