design trials

Today we moved all our furniture from the basement to the first floor, or probably the English will say: from the first floor to the second floor. Anyway, all the movable things are about three meters above street level now. The piano, the oven, the refrigerator and the wood stove we left in the empty room.

Our house is a strange mixture of home made modernistic design trials. Like an IKEA kitchen, but slightly changed, in order to make it fit, or to make it special or to repear it. This fitting, specializing and repearing never really works, on IKEA stuff. Fitting, specializing and repearing is not what IKEA made this junk for. Besides, it is very hard to fit, specialize or repear modernistic designs of other trades too. Like an Apple computer.

And the dirt, that appears, after moving the heavy kitchen things! Design and dirt is a very bad combination. After thirty years of trying, there is still no compelling answer to modernism. I thinks that is because there is no compelling answer to capitalism too.
